An admiration, an inspiration, the kindest soul to whoever came her way; My Grandma. 25 years, may seem an entirety to some, but it wasn’t long enough for me. 25 years of loving you, and you loving me. My childhood, wouldn’t have been a childhood, without you, not forgetting Grandad too. Weekends full of energy and excitement, sewing, crafting, baking, country walks or bike rides, and day trips out to Animal Farm! Even the mundane: school run, tea, bath and bedtime was never dull, always something I would look forward too and always so much fun (mainly due to you allowing Ailis and I in to the sweetie tin without Daddy or Grandad knowing!) Always there, whenever, and for whatever I needed, sometimes, not even a within reason! The day I got to show you off to all of my friends when you came to sew with us all in primary school, is a day I’ll never forget, ‘that’s my Grandma and she is the best’. I also felt pride much the same, when you came to visit myself and James in our new house, just after Christmas 2019, again, another achievement I doubt I would have made, without the upbringing you provided me. You always always supported my dreams and aspirations, however wild they may have been! Your love for education and nourishment is something I am proud to have inherited, and something I have achieved because of you Grandma; my role model. A soft, loving, gentle approach, which has made so many people love you. I miss you more and more everyday. I want to Thank you Grandma. I want to Thankyou for being the person to help, the person to fix everything and anything, the person who only wanted me to achieve the best. I want to Thank you for being there for us all, myself, my Dad, my sister. Thankyou for being the maternal figure we lacked. Overall, Thankyou for everything, and Thankyou for being you. ‘I’ll have the last laugh’ you would say, and that’s fine by me! I love you, forever. Your granddaughter, Siobhan. Xxxx
